The simplest definition of ‘Faith’ in the scripture is given in Hebrews 11 verse 1.
The concept of ‘Faith’ speaks the word of ‘hope’ ‘assurance’ of God’s promises for us, and not going by what we can only see at the moment.
If we believe that indeed we have heirs of the kingdom, and we have a future and in hope in God. If God is indeed our Father, and we believe His words and promises, we still have to apply the force of FAITH.
In a controversial world, as such that we find ourselves, It will be difficult to live by just what we can see with the physical eyes. As belivers, we cannot live by sight.. we need to apply Faith into our Christian living. Faith is the force that can help move our mountains, ease our stress and struggles, launch us above the wiles of the evil ones and take us deeper, wider, higher than we can even think of.
Hebrews 11 verse 2, the scripture establishes that the ancients (those who lives before us) were commended for their act of Faith; Noah (the ark builder), Rahab (the harlot), Abraham (A Friend if God/The Father of Faith). When you look carefully into their lifestyle, It is crystal clear that they never lived by ‘sight’ or by the current situation of things or even go by the confusing words of people around they stood firmly on the words and promises of God, through Faith!
The biggest discovery of Abraham was not the fact the He was becoming old and going childless and without a heir, But His biggest discovery was Faith. That even If it seemed to the physical eyes that He was almost childless, He chose to stand with God’s promises.
It will be a sad thing, if anyone builds His/Her life without placing Faith as a ‘shield’ to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil ones. (Ephesians 6:16). The journey of life to fulfillment is never perfect without Faith. The pathway to pleasing God is by Faith.
And not to forget, Faith comets by hearing the word of God.
Constantly remind yourself that God loves you, He has big promises for your life.
You have a hope, a future, an expected end.
So trust Him.
Faith Never Fails
Trust God because He can, and He will.
